The Innovation Hub: Biopark Phase 2 and 3
The Innovation Hub is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Gauteng Growth and Development Agency. It was established by the Gauteng Provincial Government through its Department of Economic Development to promote economic development and competitiveness of Gauteng through fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. A core business of The Innovation Hub is to foster and accelerate the growth of technology start-up companies. The BioPark Precinct is located within the premises of The Innovation Hub and offers high quality office space in a multi-tenant building with convertible laboratory and office space. The Biopark Phase 1 building was completed in 2012. In 2015 uMnini Quantity Surveyors were appointed as part of a consortium to design, develop and deliver the BioPark Phase 2 building.
